Make the Magic Happen

Cat cuddler snuggles with kitten There are few things in life that are truly “magic.” One of those things is definitely the love between a pet and its human. YOU can make the magic happen. Want to find out how? Our satellite adoption centers in Englewood, North Port, Port Charlotte, and (coming soon) Venice, temporarily house some of our adoptable cats who are looking for love. Because our animal care staff are taking care of the animals at our animal care center in Englewood, we utilize faithful volunteers at these satellite adoption centers to nourish, socialize, and tidy up after the cats housed there. That’s where the magic begins. When you volunteer at one (or more, we can use your help at multiple locations!) of these satellite adoption centers, you will start to get to know the cats and their personalities, their preferences, and yes, even their little quirks. When you know these cats, you start to realize what kind of human could be perfect for them. THEN, when people stop by the satellite adoption centers in the various pet stores, you will see them interact with the cats and see what kind of cat would be good for them too. The magic is really starting to work now. When you meet ‘n greet an adoptable cat with a potential forever human, you will see the love between pet and future owner start to flourish and grow. You will see the magic in action. And then, when the adopter decides to take that cat home, you will feel the magic yourself when you see the love between the cat and its human. Want to make the magic happen? Apply online to become one of our Satellite Cat Cuddler/Adoption Assistant volunteers, or stop by our animal care center (6781 San Casa Drive, Englewood, Florida 34224) Tuesday through Saturday to fill out a volunteer application in person. Additionally, you can see more information on this volunteer opportunity on our website, or call us at 941-474-7884 Tuesday through Saturday for more information. Our Events and Volunteer Manager Jacqueline Elliott would love to hear from you!
