Throughout the year, we hear stories of animal neglect, abuse, and mistreatment, even in our area. These stories bring feelings of anger, frustration, and sympathy from everyone who has a heart for animals. But this week is a special one for animal lovers. May 3-9, 2015 marks the 100th annual Be Kind to Animals Week, sponsored by the American Humane Association.

To help celebrate Be Kind to Animals Week, we are offering special adoption fees from May 5 – 9 only on our adoptable cats and adoptable dogs. Instead of the normal adoption fee of $85 plus $12 rabies vaccine fee, adoption fees for cats and dogs will be reduced to $25 plus $12 rabies vaccine fee. Even lower adoption fees are available for cats and dogs who have been with us for more than 6 months. Those long-term residents have adoption fees of $10 plus $12 rabies vaccine fee.
