Make a Life-Changing Difference for Bella

Today we share with you Bella’s story and ask you to join us in our ongoing work to protect and save the innocent.

Bella was brought in to a county animal control facility after she was found with elastic ties wrapped around her muzzle that created deep wounds on both sides of her mouth, splitting her lips open.

When we saw her, as sad and angry as we felt, we didn’t hesitate to help. She immediately needed surgery to repair the damage that was done to her muzzle to allow her to eat without pain and recover from painful infection.

Yesterday afternoon Bella underwent her third, and what we hope is her last, surgery. She responded well and is a doll of a patient.

We love her.

Bella’s journey is painful, but her future can be one of tenderness and care. We ask today that you donate to Bella’s care and the thousands who need our help every day.

Bella and the entire SHS family thank you all for your continued love and support.
